Manual Handling Awareness Course

This course is ideal for anyone who undertakes manual handling activities and persons who have Managerial or Supervisory responsibilities as it includes training on how to complete a Manual Handling Risk Assessment among other aspects of legislation – primarily the Manual Handling Operations Regulations.

Our Course covers the following topics:

• Legal requirements of the Manual Handling Operations Regulations
• The nature of Manual Handling – What is Manual Handling?
• The Musculoskeletal System and Common Injuries
• How to complete a Manual Handling Risk Assessment (TILE)
• Practical, Safe Lifting Techniques

We recommend that this course be attended every 3-years due to lapses in good manual handling techniques and as legislation (the Manual Handling Operations Regulations) may change in the interim period.
