Prior to taking the career path of Senior Health and Safety Consultant, Mr Peter Watson spent 30 years as a Senior Manufacturing Manager/Director within a variety of medium to high risk work environments – namely chemical, oil and pharmaceutical manufacture/refinement. The practical and technical experiences gained during this time laid the foundation and seeded the interest to pursue a career in Health & Safety Consultancy, which he embarked upon in 2004.

Since taking the first career changing steps, Peter has demonstrated a passion for and has built upon his solid foundations by undertaking Continuous Professional Development initiatives so as to broaden his field of technical expertise; this resulting in his current professional status of being a Chartered Member of the Institute of Safety and Health and a Member of the International Institute of Risk Safety Management.

Over the last 5 years Peter has, as a health and safety consultant, explored and worked in a wide variety of industrial sectors :- Construction, Foundry, Stone Masonry, Oil & Gas but to name a few and this exposure along with his technical and practical expertise has established Peter has a respected source of expertise and information amongst our Client base.

John Watson

Mr John Watson spent the first 20 years of his working life with a Major High Street Bank. In 2003 he was offered the opportunity to move into the field of Health & Safety by joining a large locally based Consultancy; this career change presented John with the opportunity to meet one of his personal ambitions in life, this being to make a personal difference.

His role within the company included working with and advising a wide variety of international, large and small business in relation to their health and safety training and project needs. The experience gained during this time along with his continued career orientated qualifications since, have laid a foundation which sets John apart from other consultants. This being demonstrated when dealing with our Clients in identifying their needs and then identifying the best means to deliver such needs.

Estelle Sladen

NVQ in Business Administration

Accounts Manager

Ms Estelle Sladen has spent all her working life in accounts and administrative roles, primarily within the engineering sector. During this time, she has accumulated a great deal of experience within the administrative field and extended her skill set into the field of accounts and finances. Along with her wealth of experience within these field Estelle also holds an NVQ in Business Administration, and an NVQ in Customer Service.

Estelle joined in 2016 and has successfully assisted hundreds of clients in completing their SSIP accreditation; including CHAS, SMAS and SafeContractor, and in doing so has gained a wealth of experience which she passes on to our Clients. Estelle has undertaken IOSH Managing Safety, CQMS, Avetta, Builders Profile and Constructionline and is one of our Qualitative Face Fit Testers, .

Estelle’s systematic and thorough approach to her work, along with her friendly and flexible attitude with Clients has been recognised by both colleagues and Clients alike; this being instrumental in providing the company’s customer focused ethos to our Clients.

Kaily Butlin

Health & Safety Advisor

Kaily joined the Watson & Watson team in 2021 in a client engagement role & her previous background in customer facing roles has made her a very useful addition to the team. During the past two Years Kaily has successfully taken the IOSH Managing Safely course and has also passed her NEBOSH General Health & Safety Certificate. She is also one of our qualified Qualitative Face Fit Testers as well being a qualified First Aider.

Kaily has successfully assisted many Clients in completing their SSIP accreditation, these including CHAS, SMAS, Safecontractor and Constructionline. She has also gained hands on health and safety experience working with a wide variety of our clients, who have been very satisfied with the help and advice which she has provided.

Kaily ’s attention to detail and approach to work , along with her friendly manner is widely recognised with both her colleagues and our clients.

Rachel Watson

IT and Customer Support Officer

Rachel joins the team, fresh from her role as a School Business Manager, where she was the lead governor for the schools health & safety compliance. Rachels role is to support the existing team and clients, and involves working in the background, with our partners. Outside of work Rachel enjoys walking her dogs, and is also a keen runner which involves raising money for many charities.

Thanh T Watson

Administration Support

Thanhs role is non customer facing, and provides administrative support to the other members of the team as required. Thanh is a great cook and her Vietnamese heritage gives the rest of the staff an exotic food experience treat sometimes!
